Lowe's Chairman and CEO Marvin Ellison received The Visionary award from the National Retail Federation at the NRF Foundation Honors on January 15 in New York City.

Cornell was presented with the award – which honors an individual who has served the retail industry with distinction throughout their career – by his children Donovan and Gabrielle Ellison.

Ellison was introduced by Target Board Chairman and CEO Brian Cornell who was The Visionary 2022 award winner.

In addition to recognizing The Visionary, the event celebrated The List of People Shaping Retail’s Future, a community partner making an impact with the NRF Foundation’s retail skills training program and the recipients of the NRF Foundation’s undergraduate scholarships.

The event was co-hosted by Bloomingdale's Chairman and CEO Tony Spring and Walmart U.S. President and CEO John Furner. It drew more than 700 attendees and raised $3 million for the NRF Foundation’s programs and resources.
