Because the NRF Foundation recognized its 2021 scholarship participants virtually, the recipients were included in the onstage celebrations at the 2022 NRF Foundation Honors (presented by American Express and PwC) on April 13 in New York City.
For the 2022 NRF Foundation Student Challenge, presented by Kohl’s, members of the top team in the 2021 NRF Foundation Student Challenge – Emily Wilken and Etheline Ting – provided the introduction. They were applauded by the audience of more than 600 for their achievement, which they earned with third teammate Ellie Smith.
“We did the entire business case competition online, learning how to collaborate in a virtual environment,” Ting says.
And Wilken notes the “experience has helped all of us launch our careers.”
