COVID-19 Guidlines

COVID-19
Event Policy

The safety of our event attendees is extremely important to the NRF Foundation (“Foundation”). After careful consideration, NRF requires all attendees of NRF Foundation Student Program to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and to provide valid proof of vaccination.

Domestic attendees will verify vaccination status through the CLEAR app. International attendees will need to show their passport and the proof of vaccination used to enter the country.

NEGATIVE COVID-19 TESTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AS A SUBSTITUTE FOR BEING FULLY VACCINATED.

In accordance with state, city and venue protocols, attendees will currently be required to wear masks while participating in any NRF 2022 event activities. The NRF Foundation will continue to monitor and evaluate the situation, and additional safety measures will be announced closer to the show.

NRF Foundation Student Program

For purposes of this in-person event, an individual is fully vaccinated, as described currently by the Centers for Disease Control (“CDC”) and/or World Health Organization (“WHO”):

  1. Two weeks after their second dose in a two dose series vaccine produced by Pfizer, Moderna, or Oxford/AstraZeneca;
  2. Two weeks after a single dose vaccine produced by Johnson & Johnson;
  3. Two weeks after completion of all doses recommended for full immunity of vaccines that have received Emergency Use Authorization by the WHO.

For a complete list of these vaccines see Covid-19 Vaccine Characteristics | ViewHub (view-hub.org).

For vaccinations obtained outside of the United States: Interchanging the COVID-19 vaccines listed above is acceptable for establishing fully vaccinated status.

The Foundation requires that each attendee provide valid proof of vaccination during registration, on-site check-in, and as otherwise directed by the Foundation. In future weeks, the Foundation will provide additional details for the types of proof that it will accept and ways to transmit such proof.

ANYONE WHO DOES NOT SUPPLY VALID PROOF OF BEING FULLY VACCINATED WILL NOT BE ADMITTED TO FOUNDATION STUDENT PROGRAMS OR ANY PORTION OF IT. THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS IF VALID PROOF OF VACCINATION IS NOT PROVIDED ONSITE.

The Foundation is not and will not be responsible for any expenses, damages or losses resulting from the enforcement of this COVID-19 Policy.

The Foundation will not provide COVID-19 testing or vaccinations.

The Foundation will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation including CDC guidance, state and local laws, and guidance from the convention center for changes and additional requirements. The Foundation reserves the right to amend this COVID-19 Event Policy in any way and at any time and will announce more details closer to the event.
